That is scary, Will. In WA, we have the highest rate in Australia for prescribing of drugs for ADHD (Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder). Children as young as 4 or 5 are placed on drugs such as Ritalin and dexyamphetamines, which are known to have deleterious side effects. My 12 year old nephew has been on such medications for many years...

Last night on the TV, health professionals were sounding a warning about the over prescribing of anti-depressents to school students (15-18) that were taking exams. There's a world of difference between normal stress and true clinical depression. Someone like Gene would know way more about this than me, but it is concerning.
