Do you not think that you're just more familiar with their older work, Alan? When we saw Paul Kelly perform a while back, it was prior to the release of "Ways and Means". Although we enjoyed the music, it was the old favourites that seemed better. Having then bought the CD and recognising tunes from the concert, it gave me a whole new appreciation.
Great list as always Kevin. I will have to wait till my next trip to Perth to check out the alternative section in JB Hifi - I bet most of those will be there! Can't get my head around Devendra Banhart (sp.?) - the only song played here regularly is "Little Yellow Spider' and that's just too weird for words! I heard him interviewed recently on JJJ and he's one odd boy!
