Well Gene, go back and look at her list. Just about every book she hated is considered a classic of modern literature. "On the Road", "Anna Karenina", Heart of Darkness".... you get the idea...

Maybe it's because many of the books on her list are books that changed my life for the better that I have an attitude toward her dismissal of so many great works. The worst high school teacher in the world couldn't crush the spirit that lives in the books she lists.

So by all means have her over for dinner. Be prepared to discuss America Idol and Anna Nichole Smith's baby. For dinner you might want to serve fish sticks and Jello pudding pops.
