Of the lot, I thought this was the funniest line: "We have a right to be left alone in our homelands,"

Taken in the context of the article's stance toward immigration (and evident lack of historical context), that is a very funny thing to say. But of course this author did not mean it that way.

The crux of the article seems to be that the author thinks there is a broad societal trend toward belief in "the interchangeability of populations."

That is quite a balloon to float, and a rather easy one to pop.

But I haven't the time just now.
