No, I have no idea about the dates related to this material. I just thought you'd enjoy it. I've always liked John Carpenter and was interested to hear him chose "They Live" as one of his favorite films. I can't say I really understand your take on the film being a documentary but I did like "They Live". I always saw it pretty much the way he describes it...as a bit of social commentary with regards to consumerism. I don't know what he told you when he talked to you but I've never heard him, or anyone else, refer to it any differently. His best work in my opinion was "The Thing". I just thought that was amazingly entertaining.
