First, thanks for the birthday wishes. Had a wonderful day eating chicken and grapes on the beach, watching Beker chase seagulls and building sandcastles. Got a bit of a sunburn on my arms, but nothing too traumatizing.
In other news, my studio is (gasp!) about a week away from operational. The computers are all in, (well, all but two of them) the electricians finish on Monday, as do the A/C and air purification guys. I've also enlisted the help of the brilliant Ashley Witt (of Danny Elfman fame) to train me in the niceties of the Vienna Symphony Library and the use of the Yamaha WX-11 Wind Controller for operating same, and the acoustic drapes are ready to be hung.
I've also started actually working to picture on the Runaway Jury movie, primarily on guitar, working with the composer Christopher Young. Very challenging stuff at times, as Chris is a master of complex syncopation in keys generally not used in guitar. (Eb, for example).
I also submitted a package to the producers of the show "BOOMTOWN", including a mock up of an opening theme, so keep your fingers crossed for me.
Otherwise, I'm glad to see that more people seem to be coming to grips with the degree to which we've been misled, manipulated, and outright lied to by these straight shooters in the White House. Thanks for that, Pat. That is a fine birthday present indeed. Somehow, someday, the truth about this stuff will out. Let's just hope that it doesnt come too late.
Thanks,
David
