Yes, I agree that "woke" is one of those topics that require thoughtful people to discuss almost in person in a respectful manner. 

Sadly, topics like this are just one more example to me of how volatile social media and the like have become within our society and how it is just one more thing people weaponize as a cudgel and how it will most likely just get worse unless people that can, make a change to what is going on in this country.

And to me, the most depressing thing is how many examples are out there staring us right in the face and how as a society we are ignoring them.  

For example, right now, to me, the most glaring examples of the toxicity within our culture are when the largest majority of people are unable to agree upon the same things when faced with overwhelming facts.   We have grown to almost make our own facts regardless of truth.  To top it off, there are very powerful people that have learned to monetize this and until these people are persuaded to change things (which I believe they can), it is only going to get worse.
