The other day I speed skimmed this book while waiting for my wife at Barnes & Noble...a couple comments:
It's does not take the tone of people like Franken, Coulter, Moore, or O'Reilly.
It contains some pretty interesting information and perspective that will be brought up often in 2004 I think.
It's going to be a book that get's talked about quite a bit I think. I'd don't have much use for all the royalty crap...I mean to me that's sort of a "so what" type issue, lot's of people dig that they can trace their family tree back to someone that wore too much jewelry on their head...but there's more to the book than that issue.
I don't watch a lot of tv but I have a feeling we'll be seeing this Kevin Phillips popping up on the tube quite a bit. As it is right now it seems you guys are finding stuff right now all over the net about him...probably a promotional factor there as the book has just come out. I am sort of curious now to see him speak so if someone discovers a coming tv appearence let me know I'd like to check it out. Doesn't C-Span do book things...that's where I first heard about "Fast Food Nation" they had the author on to speak about his book.
