A question about Movie and TV Music

I've been watching a lot of DVD TV shows (Whole Season) like 24 and Alias and it seems like the music on these shows has really stepped up a notch (especially Alias). Does the fact that TV shows seem to be putting a lot more into production offer musicians in your line a lot more opportuninity?
