Well Kent, everything I've read or heard or seen about Mel's father suggests he's a holocaust denier and believes Zionist bankers are taking over the world. He apparently parted with the Catholic church over the liberalizing policies of Vatican II.
I'm not sure what there is to admire unless it's his fertile imagination.
