Saw a couple movies over the weekend...

I watched "Masked and Anonymous" which was written by Bob Dylan from what I understand. I know it doesn't say that in the credits but they say Dylan wrote this thing. It was a bit of a mess...sort of like a whole bunch of ideas just randomly tossed together...as if you took a bunch of Dylan's lyric sheets, cut them into strips, tossed them all in the air, collected them up, put them in a bowl, and dressed them with oil and vinegar. There are just far too many actors to mention in the film...pretty much everyone in it is a name...and the whole thing by the end amounts to...well...for me anyway...nothing. I mean I guess there was something going on...some sort of message...or poetry...or...I don't know...maybe it was meant to be a peek inside Bob's skull...
Anyone else see this and have a comment?
The other film I saw was "American Splendor"...which had a great soundtrack...it was a good film. I enjoyed it and thought it was very funny in parts. I think most people who visit the Baerwald board would like it. So I recommend it.
