I'd definitely be up for the subscription. Caught your NYC gig earlier this year. Was funny to finally see you here, after having failed to see you live during my Lost Angelsleaze years, and you guys tamped it up solid. I do miss that ole city, but get to live vicariously there by watching '24' & 'The Shield,' and reading the occasional Ellroy novel, although he's a bit of a hack. LA has that irresistible glistening Hollywood-hangover sheen, that's as appealing as the lost soul of a 2AM bar-stumble. Now I'm in the land of another hero, Hubert Selby Jr. -- Brooklyn -- but I'm not among the human debris of his famous (& infamous) novel; I'm in Brooklyn Heights where life is civil and serene.Wanted to give you a note of thanks for responding to an email of mine from years ago (prior to this site), when I was inquiring about conspiracy theories -- you turned me onto Mike Ruppert's 'From the Wilderness.' I subscribed to it for a few years, but dropped off post 9/11. To be honest, it was depressing the hell out of me, and his whole 9/11 is veering close to crackpotdoom. I'm not by any means a supporter of the current administration, but I have hard time believing the government was complicit in the attacks, save for intelligence negligence on their part (which does seem highly likely). Care to share your thoughts on Ruppert's theories?I'd like to mention a very cool musical cat out these ways named Chocolate Genius (actually Mark Anthony Thompson); you may already know his work, but if perchance you don't, I highly recommend him. Everyone here is going ga-ga over the last recycling of either the New York Dolls (The Strokes) or Kraftwerk (the electroclash craze), but the real-deal is Chocolate Genius. He delivers penetrating soul rock, and his savage stage manner does Tom Waits' gin-soaked witticisms one better.Anyways, if you ever back here in town (NYC), and looking for some conversation regarding life, love & happiness (or sordid trash can crawling), please let me know. Would love to meet you one of these days. I owe you a good meal for all the emotional support your soundscapes (and scrapes) have provided me over the years. Cheers and thanks. -- Michael
