The very things you're mentioning are the precise reasons why David Icke's new book contains nearly 1,000 footnotes for a 514 page book. And, it is also the reason why I have nearly 160 books in the bibliography in the book I am in the process of writing.

And yes, I have read every book!

Any researcher who is worth his salt DOES NOT footnote himself!
