hey, now there's a racy little post. :) i like it. could spin off into a new thread entirely, too: best Uncle A excursion/experience. whee!
and oddly enough, i have a similiar story from a 6-day jaunt up and through the Mission Mountains in Montana. quite similiar, in fact. hmm...
but, yeah - Godly and humbling and inspirational beyond belief; 10K' peaks, mountain goats clamboring around beneath us, giggly and awestruck peaking, huge drop-offs that took thrown rocks forever to plummet down, watching birds fly from above 'em, bushwacking through tangled floral chaos (including bees nests, yikes), fording raging streams, making noise to scare off possible grizzlies as we hiked, high lakes, catching wild trout, gear breakdowns/duct tape solutions, plus the most insane lightning storm across the valley i've ever seen and Pleaides meteor showers each night - etc etc etc. The Shit.
then returning to Missoula and absolutely destroying all the grub/beer on tap at a local dive while playing a raucous-ass 20+ games of pool in preparation for roughhousing our hotel room to bloody pieces later. then awaking at 4am to boot magnificently.
good times! :)
