My brother is a huge DG fan and got me into his music. He gave me another one of DG's discs that is stellar called "The Humbler" (link) with Robert Gordon, recorded live at "The Berkeley Square...until approximately 1:00 a.m., when the fire department shut down the show. (There is still speculation as to whether it was the overcrowded conditions or Gatton's incendiary guitar playing that brought on the fire chief that evening). Club owner Victor Ratto can be heard on tape breaking the news to Robert Gordon that he would be allowed one final song. The band closed with, appropriately enough, a frenetic version of "Red Hot".
