Well, we heard from Condi (as Mr. Powell likes to call her) last night and boy what a surprise...she looked nervous and was evasive as all hell. Claiming she'd love to testify but there was a little "principle" that bugged her about doing so. She said Bushco could find no evidence that a standing National Security Adviser had ever testified before Congress...so sorry folks but despite the fact that we'd like to prevent another 9/11 we won't testify under oath about doing so because...well...we have our principles. Just another case of Bushco making up the rules as they go along and expecting the public to swallow that. Anyone else catch the fact that when Rice gave the two lines about principles it was so damn obvious she had rehearsed those about a thousand times it was silly. Plus due to her obvious discomfort she stumbled with the words anyway.
She of course had to throw in a few lies about how Iraq was the most dangerous country and Saddam's the most dangerous regime in the Middle East. Gee, that probably surprised the shit out of Syria, Libia, and Iran. All three of which are far better equipped to make mayhem than Saddam ever could have been. Plus all three have a long history and proven track record with terrorists...unlike Saddam and Iraq. So, either she thinks we're all stupid or she is.
Yet another key member of Bushco that appears to be totally lost and should not hold down the job they have been given. She's the National Security Adviser and she thinks Iraq was the most dangerous country in the Middle East. She probably thinks Canada is the second greatest threat to America. God help us all.
When Mr. Bradley told Condi that there have been more terrorist attacks since 9/11 and our war with Iraq Condi laughably came back with "I think that's the wrong way to look at it."
Sure it is Condi...because looking at it that way means you folks at Bushco are doing a lousy job. Of course Condi wants no part of the blame so she did what all members of Bushco do...blamed someone else. Rummy pointed the finger at the FBI. Condi said it was the CIA because they didn't tell the FBI that two big name terrorists had entered the country.
What was that Roger said about putting a Big Top over the White House? Yup...these folks are clowns and the circus has been in town since January 2000.
