Are you not dismayed or concerned with why this was not done on 9/12 of 2001? Why has it taken almost 3 years to utilize more troops and equipment? Is it as simple as election year politics?

I am bothered that it was not done on 9-12-2001. I am also bothered by the fact that it was not done on 9-12-2000, or 99, or 98 etc.  Osama Bin Laden had declared war on the United States already, and we should have been moving on it then.

You seem to be leaving out the fact that we did invade afghanistan following 9-11, and that most of the people who opposed the war in Iraq opposed that as well.

Maybe it is election year politics, or maybe we have new intelligence now that we didn't have 3 years ago. I seem to remember the consensus being that Bin Laden had slipped out of Afghanistan and disappeared. Now they are looking  there again. Maybe they found something new out.

Either way, I couldn't give shit less about sincerity. I just want him dead. Whatever motives people want to assign to it is up to them.

Besides, even if it WAS sincere, would anyone here believe that anyway?
