What I meant was you are making a judgement that all of the beliefs people "on the left" have are politically motivated. That there is no other reason for them to feel and think the way they do except political motivation. That's just plain outrageous.
It's the same as saying all of your beliefs are not really beliefs but just an agenda based on your political motivations. You don't see how wrong it is to suggest that?
I don't have any issue with what you believe about abortion and I don't call you a liar because you believe it. Why would you call me a liar because my feelings about the war differ from yours?
