fair enough. there's no shame in sticking up for the unborn. i'm sure it feels like a highly moral and noble thing, and i won't say that it isn't, but there's another side of it that i feel has more respect for women, and common sense in general.
1.) the female of the species shall have control of her reproductive system/internal organs/etc
and
2.) there're too many people on the planet already (as db noted in The Postman), and the more we add just overstresses the host organism, leading to problems for all. i think at this point there're probably enough humans around to keep the race going.
no politics about it from me, although i notice that too many pro-lifers are very biblical in their reasonings as they try to get the government to back up their religious beliefs with the force of law. i don't need to go into how wrong that is.
but, yes, abortion is murder - and i support it. it's a distasteful procedure and concept, but so is much of life. it's woman's control of their own bodies and it's necessary population control and it's a million other things too. there are things that come out of people's bodies that can affect the world - a child, a song, a novel, a political philosophy, a cancerous tumor, a virus, whatever. while it's in the individual's body, it's their call whether or not to bring it out into the actual world. i think they should always have the option to go either way.
