"All I did was show everyone that the above link was inaccurate and taken out of context. There are other more credible and legitimate things to attack Bush on. This attempt was just stupid, totally out of context and served no purpose." - Luke's New Testament
Ok, Luke if we substitute the name Kerry for Bush here this applies to your link on Kerry's voting record.
Why you might ask?
Kerry has been campaigning for president, a chore that he is expected to miss votes while involved with. The record you posted is dates during which Kerry was on the campaign trail...if you examine anyone's voting record (try John Edwards) while they are attempting a run like this you will find the same thing. So, you are twisting the facts there Luke.
It would be valid to ask him how he would have voted on issues he did not vote on or to ask him why he voted the way he did on those he did vote on.
It's humorous to hear people say Kerry is inexperienced or an idiot. He is neither of these things. He actually has the best resume for the job of anyone we've seen in quite a long time. He's the most qualified candidate we've had in my voting years for this job. I'm not a stupid person either Luke and I think I'm reasonably well informed.
I'm not a kiss ass for the Democrats either. I don't work for Kerry's campaign. I had predicted in the past that the man NEVER would be president of our country because he's too intelligent and sucks on TV. I have at times shown a lack of faith in the general public believing that they are going to vote for the guy that looks and does the best on the tube.
Dean was a better speaker. Edwards comes across amazingly genuine when you put a camera on him. They both had their strengths and quite possibly would have won over more people but in terms of who is the most qualified...including the man who currently holds the job...Kerry outdoes them all. That is the simple fact. No spin, no bullshit.
Will Kerry win? I have no idea. I think it's gonna be really tight and it's all going to come down to a few states including Florida. My vote doesn't even matter because I live in Massachusetts and I could vote for Donald Duck and Kerry still carries this state in a landslide.
I know one thing though...people are thinking very hard about this election and more people will probably vote in this one than any other in our history. Bush has polarized this country and the world.
One other thing...the Kerry campaign may be seen in a slump right now...but right now does not matter. October will matter. It will matter big who he picks to be his VP. And the last thing that will really matter is getting Kerry and Bush on the same stage for a debate. Kerry's people have pushed hard for one early...Bush has ducked that like people used to duck facing a Mike Tyson combo. Too painful to think of for the people at Bushco. See we're still in the early rounds it ain't panic time.
