Icon So let's talk about Kerry...rather than Bush bash...

It's an obvious and well accepted fact here on this board that what we have right now is more of an anti-Bush feeling than a pro-Kerry feeling. Kerry doesn't bother me the way he bothers some others here.

So my question would be, to you DavidM to start with but everyone can answer, what about Kerry don't you like?

Who would you prefer to see as the Democrat's candidate? Luke already said Edwards would get his vote. I like John Edwards. If he were running I'd support him as well. I don't know as much about him but I liked what I saw during the primary.

Will Kerry's choice of VP influence the way anybody feels about a Kerry ticket? Say he picks Edwards...does that make it look better or worse to you?

Who would you stick with Kerry to "improve the ticket?"

I believe Kerry is a good candidate but in terms of how he'll do as president...well there's a lot that comes into play there. I think I already posted that he's going to have serious issues to confront that could swamp him. Bush is leaving a mess for the next guy and that Republican Congress.

If Kerry is elected he'll need to choose a great team to work with him. Team Bush is a nightmare...so anything would be an improvement there but if he chooses poorly...that won't be good. It'll be after the fact when we know those things though.

I don't think he's a Gray Davis but those that know more than me say he'll have a tough time. Whoever gets to be the man for the next four years will have major issues though...it's all about direction at this point, I think anyway.

In a better world there would be a good third party option...this year that just ain't happening. So, Kerry becomes the vote for change, Bush the vote for stay the course. I don't like this course...so I'll mark the box next to change.
