Lucas,
I nearly put in a 'beware: - rhetoric' proviso in my original post. But I think most of the people here have pretty good b.s. filters and could see it for what it was. Thank you for the correction of it's origination - it did seem too bizarre to be real, but there it was. That said, I HATE it when people take stuff out of context to try and make their point as was the case here. However, as I originally posted, I thought it was sort of funny. According to you, the crew did too. I've seen Letterman a couple of times as well...I saw Paul Simon play about 6 feet from me there. Very cool.
You'd asked in a different post if I'd ever read anything from another poster that made me change my mind or opinion or whatever. The answer is a qualified 'yes'. I've read plenty of stuff from people that changed my opinion - the qualification is - I've never read anything that made me do an 'aboutface' on something. Although, to be honest, that isn't why I come here, anyway. I look at the place as what the title implies - an infosource. I don't know many musicians, and if I have a question about anything in that realm, well I mean, why Google it, when I can hear from the people who play it and what it means to them?
I enjoy David Baerwald's music, but frankly have always been at a loss as to why people feel one way or the other about him on a personal basis unless they know him. I mean, would you boycott a restaurant that serves the best food in town, just because someone told you the Chef's an ass?
Why do you come here Lucas? Just wonderin'....
Lee
