You've all seen this photo. I'm disgusted and ashamed. Whatever our higher purpose for occupying Iraq is, or was, this single photo has undone it all; the damage will never be repaired.
How many baby terrorists will be inspired to strap on suicide vests now in response? Who can say, without sounding like they're insane, that the world is safer or that a brighter day is just around the corner for the Iraqis?
I read this morning that FOX News is preparing a counter list to Nightline's reading of the war dead. Their list will focus on the good things that the Iraqi occupation has produced. It probably won't take forty minutes to read.
