I didn't watch his apology and probably will not.
The bad thing is our soldiers will be receiving the brunt of the response of what Bush and his adminstration are largely responsible for. And here is why and his administration is responsible for these abuses - for the past 3 years he and his administration has linked Iraq to 9/11 in very sly ways.
Now imagine the thinking of a young solider in Iraq who believes such a thing. The iraqi is seen as less than human and as our most vile enemy. All because the commander in chief does not forcefully explain Iraq had nothing to do with 9/11 and allows this thinking to go on and on. Sure, he has not got on TV and directly said, "Iraq flew those planes." But he and his administration have not done anything to the contrary either. And this is shown by a recent poll showing 50 percent of the American people STILL believe Iraq was behind 9/11. This is also shown by Americans being asked what they think of this abuse and making replies such as, "Good. They deserve it for what they did to us on 9/11."
And now FauxNews is putting on a piece of pure propaganda that will more definately than not have little context at all (for example, they keep using stats about schools before the war started and after - well, there have been sanctions on for years and in the march up to the war many of these schools were closed for safety reasons).
I get so tired of shoddy journalism and FauxNews being able to blare "fair and balanced." What shit...
