Ian I dont know what world you live in but I assure you this is not bias. I've heard the statistic more than once and from several different sources. The press is a bunch of pinko's. Just ask the top 10 or 20 top anchors which party they are affiliated with and you might understand why the news is slanted that way

I happen to think that wealthy individuals for the most part do pay their share, but I also believe that those same individuals get the most bang for the buck.
They dont just pay their share they pay most of the share and of course they get slammed for it. Jealously plays a big part in this.  It is an easy play for the Dems to sell this to the have-nots as "evil" and "mean".

The disparity isn't so much with individuals not paying their fair share, it's with corporations that don't. It sickens me to consider that billion dollar MNCs are able to shelter their earnings from US taxes. We as consumers need to start paying more attention to which companies are doing this, and stop using their products and services.  

What the hell is a MNC? So now we are going to blame the evil corporations. I agree there are several greedy CFO's and CEO's out there? I think these people should be prosecuted to the full extent of the law but it is not the whole corporation. And this still does not solve my personal tax bill. I'll put anyone in office if I truly believe that they will work to lower personal income taxes. I've never met a Dem who would do that.
