Here we have a terrible, terrible event and the opportunity to watch how this will unfold from the start, but only if people pay attention.  I have already seen a change in posturing from political party views.

Right after Berg was beheaded every American politician ran to the nearest white lights to speak out about this terrible act.  All of the right wing FauxNews shows  and politicians were using this to hammer home about the difference in how we treated the prisoners at Abu Gharib in contrast to Berg's beheading. 

Then it started to get murky when the views of the father to Berg started hitting the press.  Slowly the US Govt was releasing information, probably more than it normally does, about Berg being in Iraq and being detained.  To me, this appeared to contain an appearance of circling the wagons.

Today Berg's father made some very strong comments about how he blames Bush and Rumsfeld for his son's death. 

Now the thing to watch will be how the US Govt, FauxNews and the republican politicians act.  From past practice I am venturing a guess that there will be a tremendous dirt digging expedition done on Nicholas Berg and to back this up, log onto FauxNews website (http://foxnews.com) and look down to see the tone of reports.  One asks what was Nicholas Berg doing in Iraq, with a sinister subtitle asking what was this single, contractor doing there?  It is as if they are starting the push to claim he was offering aid to the insurgents or something.

It is just something to watch.
