Points:
1. Mass has decided to single handedly changed the course of what has been accepted for Centuries going against the will of the people by the decision of a few left wing judges (from what I'm told one of the judges was gay and voted against it for that very reason)

i must say that there are a lot of things which were the norm for centuries, and they have changed. most, i would argue, for the better. and the 'will of the people' in this case is changing - towards acceptance.

Hmmm.......................ohh your doing polls in San Francisco (Sodom by the Bay I call it). But in the Continental 50 states the opposistion is around say 70%

actually, i'm referring to national polls, showing opposition at around 65%. and comparing those figures to what they were a mere 10 or 15 years ago, i'd say bemoan and fight all you want, but the legalization of gay marriage will be happening in your lifetime. what you do then is up to you.

2. Comparing this to desegregation or affirmative action is ludicrous and I'm glad some black Christian leaders have called this for what it is. Deplorable.

while i think that institutionalized legal discrimination is deplorably unamerican, i have to ask: why is it ludicrous?

Because it is apples and oranges

blacks weren't allowed to legally marry (outside their 'kind'); gays aren't allowed to legally marry (unless outside their 'kind'); neither one passed the logic or equal rights tests. sounds like apples and apples to me.

(kevin - sorry about these fruit analogies)

it's like the frog that gets in the warm water only to die because he does not feel the heat rising slowly.

it's a colorful phrase, but how, exactly, is gay marriage going to kill us?
Because that is just the beginning ie the Frog story.

right...but how does it end and why exactly does it end that way?

The gay activistim is a strong one in this country slowly chipping away at the moral fiber of the United States.

the 'moral fiber' (what is that, some kind of religious breakfast cereal?) of this country has already been badly compromised by the willful ignorance of too many of its people and the invertebrate & courtesan nature of damn near all of its elected leaders. why are you blaming the gay rights movement  for these other more serious issues?

Yeah right

well, you got me with that one. (once again the amount of thought that goes into a response carries the day...)

i'm still waiting for a response that goes beyond simple or vague phrases. i'm trying to better understand where you're coming from but i need more to work with.
