I certainly wish the "new" Al Gore was the same person who ran in 2000.  If he had shown the passion and balls he now shows, I think he would have actually won a true mandate in 2000. 

It certainly shows that sometimes a person needs to take a swift and painful kick in the balls to actually find one's balls......
