Ordinarily, a rocker in political office seems counter-intuitive to what rock is (or should be) about. Though come to think of it the only one I can think of is Sonny Bono and he hardly qualifies as a rocker..... 

So...  nevermind. Peter Garrett is intelligent, articulate, and can work a crowd real well. The Aussies are lucky to have him (the non-Howard- supporting Aussies that is). I would trade him for all the Joe Liebermans in China, or Connecticut.

Now if that Springsteen boy would get off the fence......
