Yepper, like James Gang as well, but I think the supporting band and rythym section was tighter on the Joe Walsh band stuff.

When I lived in Cleveland, Ohio, I really got into JW, 'cause he apparently lived there for a time himself.  He used to work in a music store, making these really cool distortion pedals and effects things of his own design, very humble in those days.  The original James Gang members were all from Cleveland or Akron, and recorded at the now famous/infamous Cleveland Recording Studio (or Suma) up on lake Erie.  I think Joe Sczymczk (can't remember the spelling..) his producer and also involved with Eagles and Dan Fogelberg, was from that area as well.    Grand Funk Railroad, although from Flint, Michigan, recorded their first few up there also.  The recording engineer was a well known guy named Ken Hamman (I think I posted something a couple years ago about him on this site).  I've got a funny feeling ol' Ken is no longer with us, but in the happy hunting ground of his ancestors, but I'll check on that.

Bang it t'is then.   Thanx for the rec...Jeronimeister!

P.S.  Ken also recorded Pere Ubu
