An Open Letter To David Baerwald . . .

David:

After I sent Dan a copy of the FINAL VERSION of the TRIAGE STUDY MODULE last night --- he wrote me back a very nasty response saying (in effect) that he didn't understand how to open and view a PDF file --- and that it didn't matter anyway because he wasn't going to post the TRIAGE STUDY MODULE to the website. I find this claim of his about PDF files to be completely ridiculous --- especially how the medical profession has standardized the use of PDF files as their file format of choice for Internet downloads. To have him attempt such an argument is clearly an insult to my intelligence.

However, this DOES SAY quite a bit about Dan . . .

You see, I have been a medical rights activist since 1984, as well as having a wife who works in the medical field. So, I know from my own personal experience that the medical profession constantly uses PDF files in their line of work. (Besides, the three people here to whom I did send review copies had no trouble with them.)

What makes this even more ridiculous is the fact that I had sent him a PDF file of how the DBIS was appearing on my Macintosh system --- an e-mail that he received and read without any problems back on April 20, 2004 --- so sometime between then and now --- he has forgotten how to open and view PDF files?

Not very likely . . .

Since this was a serious piece of investigative journalism on my part --- and it took me FOUR MONTHS of full time research and writing to complete --- I think it is EXTREMELY BOGUS of Dan to take my $$$$ for the TRIAGE DVD --- and then not post the book that is based upon that very same DVD.

Beyond that --- there are many people here who have posted public comments --- as well as having written to me privately --- to express their interest in seeing this work.

If this was something UNRELATED to you or your career --- I could understand Dan's not wanting to post this on YOUR WEBSITE.

However, because this IS directly related to the DVD that had just been released --- it is just childish and silly that Dan is making his dislike of me a public issue.

So David Baerwald --- do YOU want this 133 page eBook DIRECTLY RELATED to your 1992 album and short film --- posted on YOUR WEBSITE? Because this website has YOUR NAME on it --- it is my opinion that you should be the one to make this decision.

Everyone else reading this --- would YOU like to be able to read this work? I have been told that this was very well done and has been presented with a tremendous amount of depth and detail. As I said, it contains 245 references --- all in a space of 133 pages.

Also --- I would like to say one last thing about this:

Because of the direction in which this country is currently being lead --- it concerns me greatly that Dan is once again attempting to CENSOR my writing. The last time, he threatened to remove all my posts from the DBIS --- this was in an e-mail to me dated October 28, 2003 12:51pm. I will not pretend that I like Dan any more than the degree to which he dislikes me --- however --- this is particularly distressing to me that even after I purchased the largest amount of DVD's in any one single order that he has received --- he goes and does this --- which is not only an insult to me personally --- but quite frankly --- it is reprehensible behavior for someone who is currently trying to sell DVD's with YOUR NAME attached to them.

In other words, this is pretty shitty CUSTOMER RELATIONS . . .

Is this type of behavior of Dan's helpful in growing your fan base?

I am sorry to have to report a complication like this --- but I honestly didn't expect Dan to behave in such an inappropriate and vindictive manner.

So David --- since this is the DAVID BAERWALD INFOSOURCE --- do YOU want this product of my hard work to be made available on YOUR website?

How about everyone else?

P.S. - Here is what I believe is really going on with Dan . . .

Dan has been one of the people who has tried many times to force me to leave the DBIS. However, DB himself stated here several times that he believes that DISSENTING VIEWPOINTS should be allowed (and even encouraged) on the DBIS --- as well as in larger society.

Dan had approximately two hours between the time I sent the PDF file to him at 7:32pm and when he responded at 9:25pm. I believe that he DID look it over --- and made the decision that he simply could not be a part of something that would have made me look good in the eyes of everyone here. Because remember; I am supposed to be crazy, lonely, looking for attention, having a nervous breakdown, and so forth.

But the TRIAGE STUDY MODULE proves that I am NONE of those things --- and the possibility that I MIGHT be telling the TRUTH about the things I talk and write about --- cannot be tolerated no matter what. This is a very common psychological response to the type of information I present. I have seen this exact response in several other people I know and have spoken with.

The TRIAGE STUDY MODULE is the most in-depth report on every facet of David's career that has EVER been done --- with special emphasis on the TRIAGE album and short film. Therefore, it appears that Dan would rather deprive David's fans of something EDUCATIONAL --- than to do ANYTHING that would in any way VINDICATE ME or make me look favorable in the eyes of the people who come here to the DBIS.

Also, when the DVD's were being prepared for manufacturing --- I sent Dan several e-mails showing him where he could get these DVD's made for much cheaper than what he eventually paid. I was attempting to be helpful --- and not only was I completely ignored --- he didn't even have the decency to thank me for the suggestion --- in which he could have saved $$$$.

However, what he attempted to tell me was that he never received these e-mails. But, the one thing that he didn't know was that I never received a bounce-back error [mail delivery error] from my ISP --- which means that not only did he receive these e-mails --- but also that he lied to me about not receiving them. One thing that I DO NOT TOLERATE UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES --- are lies and the liars who tell them.
