I think I've made a couple of posts about this CD - but I just got the "2nd edition" of this thing in the mail today. The 1st one had a bonus DVD with Neil playing the entire album solo in Dublin. Cool stuff. Now this 2nd edition is just the same audio CD but the bonus DVD with this one is Neil and Crazy Horse in the studio playing the whole album. The sound on this thing is incredible. Now, I realize that Greendale might not be Neil's best work...but for some reason this album grabbed me on the first listen and I keep getting new things out of it each time I play it. I've read that Neil did a "movie" based on this...but I haven't seen that yet. Maybe it'll be on the Greendale 3rd edition.

Anyway - I just wanted to give another recommendation for this really great CD. And if I had to decide between the 1st or 2nd edition...I'd probably grab the 1st one. Neil Young acoustic solo in Dublin with a Guinness on a stand next to him - well...that's a perfect scene if you ask me.
