The guys over at http://www.aixrecords.com/ made a great DVD recording of Jimmy Ibbotson and John MCuen and friends on stage with high res surround which allows you to listen either from the audience or from the center of the circle on stage.

Could be an expensive proposition but it sure would make for a great record of the event.
