More US pot hysteria.  The "war" continues despite over 40 years of common use in our society, with no evidence to support these assertions.  As with most life problems and controversy in this country at any rate, reason is supplanted by hysteria. 

More kids are in treatment all right,  probably not due to physical addiction though, but because they are forced/coerced into 12 step programs as soon as their folks or their teachers find out they smoked a joint. 

I don't advocate drug use..but this kind of press is really reactionary and alarmist without basis in scientific fact.  

Everybody, your thoughts are most welcome.   I'm confused.

And this after a week of news (3 articles in the latest American Academy of Neurology Journal "Neurology" that pointed to some medicinal benefits).
