Vancouver has a wonderful reputation for its beauty. One day we hope to take the TransCanada Railway out that way. I must confess I am more interested in railing through the wilds of the Canadian Rockies than visiting Vancouver but both have their merits.Although we drove to NS from Vermont through NB and then drove the length of NB south to north on our way to Quebec City, Montreal and finally back home; we didn't see all of the Maritimes sadly. We skipped PEI at the suggestion of the locals as we visited in Nov. The weather was surprisingly mild. And of course we missed out on Labrador which I'd also like to see. I must say I was amazed by the northern Appalacians in NB and the width of the St Lawrence River/Seaway that far east of Quebec City.Laidback appeals to us. Do you suppose we could obtain Refugee Status?-) I wouldn't mind Canada outside of Quebec(only because of the language barrier-we visited Montreal regularly before the border became a hassle upon returning).Cheers
