It turns out that the reporter who broke the story about Capt. Elliot recanting his assertions that Kerry was untruthful about his Vietnam days is a shill for the Kerry campaign. Michael Kranish...Reg, you're probably familiar with him as he works for the Boston Globe. It turns out that he's written books about Kerry and now he's got one due to be released about Kerry/Edwards and their plan for America. Get it here.
The Swift Boat Veterans for Truth today stated that "Captain George Elliot describes Kranish's article in todays edition of the Boston Globe as 'extremely inaccurate and highly misstating his actual views.' He reaffirms his statement in the current advertisement paid for by the Swift Boat Veterans for Truth. He reaffirms his request the ad be played."
So what are we to make of a reporter covering the Kerry campaign who is willing to misstate the facts to help prop up and support his candidate? Does anyone have a problem when it comes to campaign finance reform? It's my understanding that campaigns cannot run ads critical of one another during the final 30 days before the election. What if you've got a reporter working for the campaign itself writing articles critical of the opponent? Is that not wrong?
Reg, what's your take on Michael Kranish?
Nope...no liberal media (click me) bias here.
