Cool stuff. They apparently haven't made it all the way down to San Diego yet though, so I couldn't pull up Point Loma where I used to watch grey whales migrate by nor could I get Ocean Beach where I used to bash away in my Navy days. I'll have to check back later.
The http://www.terrafly.com site is back up. Looks like they made a few changes - highlighting some landmarks, labeling some streets, and apparently adding real estate values. There you can plug in an address anywhere in the USA and get an overhead shot. I just plugged in the address of the Palindrome Recorder (41 Market St, Venice, CA 90291), and then zoomed all the way in. It looks like it sits a block back behind the walk.
