Way to go PRH's Ghost(BTW, who is PRH?)! Nice shopping list! Interesting too. Especially the H2O; revulsion upon relapse; and the closing humor for sure.

Personally I believe 12 stepping is defeatist, leads to other dependentcies, and insures relapse(s).

That said, should none of our well meaning advice help: you should be plenty scared when you find you must sit up in order to sleep, and that might just do the trick in time, if you quit immediately upon recognition of this unsatisfactory state.

After a month or two stuff will taste better. After a year or two, you will hate the smell. And then you will hate the smell on others. I finally quit 7 or 8 years ago. I FINALLY made up my mind that I liked me more than the effect of the butts. But maybe you like smoking, whereas I had long hated the fact I couldn't whip this inanimate object.

And frankly, if you have a child, she's worth living for until she's a grandma, or so! That's the best fun there is.

Best of luck.
