Ain't nothing wrong with lounge singers..
Well, right you are Ed, but that's the whole point. He did indeed sound like a lounge singer, when he wasn't screaming, but, hell I like the sound of a lounge singer from time to time, and ol' Jim probably would have been happy to be labeled as such. The photo of them in that bar on Morrison Hotel, certainly echoes that sentiment. A lounge mighta been a step up for him, in some ways.
