I have heard of this before.  Some experts on black weapon projects say this is the Aurora aircraft that the US military is in the process of testing.  Supposedly this thing can fly at speeds around 3-4 thousand miles per hour.  Of course that is total speculation.  When you think that back in the 50's and 60's they developed the F-15 framework that we now use, just imagine what they might be creating that will be used in the future.  The ironic thing about this subject is that you can build all of the elite aircraft you want but that does nothing against a common terrorist.
