Kevin G,
I am continually baffled at the lack of outrage by the American public when it comes to the linking of 9/11 and Hussein. What is even more alarming is that when people bring this up, so many throw the automatic "oh, you'd rather have Hussein in power then"...or other meaningless drivel up into the argument.
We have a group of people who are using the most horrific event in most of our lifetimes for pure poltiical purposes.
Yes, I said strong and harsh words about them, but I can guarantee you that if the Democrats had been doing the same thing I would be equally as harsh on them for using 9/11 this way.
And where did the goofy right wing conspiracy come in at? If something has not been going on, then how has this 42 percent of American people believing such nonsense persisted? To me, it is clear - if you go all the way back to 9/12/01 and compile the many statements of the party in power at the time, there is no doubt what the intention of their message was and it is shameful.
In war, our leaders, all of them, regardless of dem or repub, liberal or conservative, should tell the truth and make sure the truth is known and should be ashamed when the American people do not know the truth for whatever reason. And the media should not allow the truth to become muddled and misled.
