Okay, how many more troops?

Whatever the commanders in Iraq feel we need to get it done. They are the professionals. Give them what they need to do their jobs.

Where will you transfer them from? South Korea? Yes. They want us to leave anyway.

Europe? Ditto

What will you do if another international crisis occurs and troops are needed there? I didn't say I'd have all our troops there.

Will you reinstate the draft? No. It's not necessary.

We have tens of thousands of extended duty troops there right now. Will you tell them they have to stay for a third tour of duty? You'd be surprised to learn may of them would stay anyway if they are given what I'm talking about.

Another Vietnam is exactly what we should avoid in Iraq. Those who forget the past are doomed to re-live it. Take the politics out of it. Our enemies in Iraq are beyond negotiation.
