Of course there was hype surrounding this film - Eminem sells about five million copies of everything he touches. What are they going to do - ignore it?
But don't accuse this film of being hollow and vapid until you've seen it. I just went to it, with my ELEVEN year-old daughter, and we both loved it. It's funny and gritty, and Slim can actually act. It was easily one of the best films I've seen in the last year.
And what is this bad behavior you speak of? Haven't you been reading the chapters from Outrageous? While Eminem sings "Bitch I will kill. You don't want to fuck with me", Baerwald writes of standing naked with twin samurai swords, ready to decapitate. No wonder they are my two favorite writers.
