So here we have news worthy stories that the American public should be aware of and guess what? Most folks here probably had no idea who Mr. Vanunu is and why he's an important figure and how all that revolves around that story directly relates to our supposed "War on Terror". Or that Iran is openly threatening the United States and Israel. Why don't they know these things? Because they paint a drastically different picture of the "War on Terror" than the one our current administration promotes.
Also Iran has already stated its intention to use pre-emptive strikes if it so desires and they are parading around missiles with banners that say Israel must be wiped off the map and they are going to crush the United States. Wonderful...but we have folks in this country that have a greater interest in that boob Dan Rather and military record keeping. How is the poor average Joe ever to have a clue about what is happening and why? When will our press actually start paying attention and reporting what matters?
It's quite twisted when there are people running around that see Mr. Soros, Mr. Rather, or Mr. Moore as a greater danger to them than say Kim Jong Il, Iran's open threats, and the Israeli nuclear program. Makes you wonder don't it? People who feel that stories about new schoolbooks in Iraq should be included in our daily news to create a sense of being "fair and balanced."
If we were to ask the question:
"What would you see as a good way to begin negotiations with Iran to dismantle its nuclear program?"
How many folks would shoot back:
"Well, first having an even handed policy across the board would be the way to begin. We should demand Israel dimantle its program for starters. Otherwise who will take us seriously or believe we are being fair if we don't start by asking Israel to stop violating policy. It opens the door for Iran and North Korea to point to the fact that we've never made an attempt at preventing Israel from proceeding with its nuclear program and we've know about it since 1986 if not sooner."
Ahhh, probably almost nobody would say that. That's because our media is too busy dicking around with nonsense.
We're fighting a "War on Terror" right? We are all up in arms about WMDs right? It was our reason for attacking Iraq right? Why knowing that Iran has had a program in place for 20 years and openly threatens us on a regular basis and is known to be the nation that helped develop and promote a worldwide network for terrorists and the drug trade (with the specific purpose of targeting the United States) did we not go after them first? They have and we know they have everything that Iraq supposedly had. So where is the Bush doctrine of pre-emption there?
Why knowing that Israel has had a program in place for 20 years that would increase hostilities in the region and endanger our country through that relationship, did we not just call up our good pals in Israel and tell them to cut the crap because it would hinder any kind of peace process there? That would have been far easier to do and less costly than attacking Iraq...and we would have eliminated a large number of WMDs now present in the Middle East. WMDs we know, have known, are there.
But no...we're not doing that. Instead we're selling Israel more bombs. Brilliant!
It appears we are working toward a strategy that's all about escalating the violence and terrorist activity...as well as building on the already rampant anti-American sentiment Bushco has so fondly nurtured.
Well, whatever...I'm sure all this will be met with a very loud and emphatic silence by those that support Bushco because none of this information shows up on the talk shows or newscasts...not even those of liberal nutjob Dan Rather...so it will be ignored because there is after all a new SBV ad on tv and don't you know they are all about the TRUTH. Yup, and you and I, Eric...well...we're brainwashed by the liberal media that fails to even bring up what we're discussing here.
Yeah...I can feel the silence...can you?
