Obviously my "are you people out of your f*#king minds" comment was a bit smart ass but I am being honest when I say that. I don't think that the moves they are making make any sense...selling bombs to Israel, playing footsie with Allawi (a guy we know is a liar and has been called a "terrorist" and a "thug" by those who know him best)...I mean this kind of stuff doesn't ever make you say "What the f#*k?" when you read it?
You don't lean back in your chair and ponder how it is we can tell the world we are trying to create...never mind actually create...a free and just society in Iraq when we start off by making a slime like Allawi prime minister? A guy who by all accounts is all about lining his own pockets. A guy who the Iraqi people knew and hated. A guy that once worked for Saddam. A guy who loaded a plane full of cash and had it sitting on the runway ready to take off then claimed he didn't know how it got there. A guy who our CIA has known as a bullshitter for YEARS! A guy who played a large part in providing the false intelligence that caused Bushco to look so bad when it all caved in on them. This guy, Mr. Allawi, seems just fine and dandy to you? It seems wonderful to you that our president would trot him out on to the White House lawn and call him a pal and stand there with him claiming all is well in Iraq? You don't think any of this is at least a bit odd?
Hey, I don't have any security clearance or anything like that. I read the papers and watch the news like anybody else. The stuff I'm pointing out here is on the table, it's not top secret. It been reported worldwide and the info in my other posts comes from a variety of places...Salon, Newsweek, Time, yes there's bits in there from an Australian paper...I could post more on Allawi, the world knows who he is. As soon as he became prime minister the press started looking in to who he is and what they found was quite ugly. It hasn't been played up in this country though. You actually have to read past page one to find the stuff. If the reporters found this info I'm sure Bush had it long before they did. So what are you saying to me when you ask:
"Reg, where did you come across your security clearance to be privy to all that goes on behind the scenes? It must be frustrating to have all that classified stuff right in front of you and to see so easily how it all fits together so nicely but yet the administration keeps f#*$ing it up."
I don't know what you mean because that's all out of mainstream press reports. Obviously a lot of people think the administration is f*#king it up because there are CIA and British Intel people going on record in the press about Mr. Allawi. I'm not sure what you're saying to me...are you saying I should just close my eyes and cover my ears and ignore that?
What do you mean when you ask this:
Are you telling me that there are no secrets? Huh...this is unlike any other war if that's the case.
No secrets? Are you saying you believe Bushco has a purpose for using Allawi that we ordinary citizens could never understand so they are keeping it secret? Despite the fact it looks horrible because we know he's a liar, thug, greedy slime...and the rest of the world knows that as well. I think that means Bushco is going to get bit on the ass by this and so are the Iraqi people...who already didn't trust Allawi and didn't want him around. Allawi and Chalabi were longtime CIA stool pigeons and they both have a long history of bullshitting us. That's out, it's on the table and Bush knew it long before you or I did...yet Allawi is prime minister in Iraq. Seriously Kevin, what do you make of all this? Please explain what your thinking is on this whole thing. I'm just being honest...to me it looks like a huge mistake and it looks like Bushco is doing it intentionally. That's not a conspiracy theory or anything like that it's just a general observation based on simple and well reported facts...nothing more, nothing less.
What are you thinking on it? Is this the first you've seen of this stuff I posted? If so I can see why it would be hard to digest...but it must strike you in some way. You are obviously a bright guy that cares about what's going on in this country, that pays attention to current events...so I'm just asking what's your take? I know we have different political leanings but to me this seems to be a story that goes beyond all that. We don't work for Bush or Kerry so we can just say what we think...and that's it...that's all I'm asking...what do you think about all this?
