B.O.C. was also among my early concert memories, in a Jr. High School Gym no less, great show. But my first concert goes way back before that,
it was in the 60's and another TV show band was at the top of my bubblegum list. Does anyone remember "Where The Action Is" which was a Monkee's knock off and featured Paul Revere and the Raiders. They were playing in a local high school gym
( didn't have any arena type venues back then, around here anyway ).
I remember that I had to throw a serious, childish fit until my parents gave in had my brother take me to the show.
It's odd that I remember very little about the show itself.Other very early show memories include Mitch Ryder and the Detroit Wheels, Bad Finger and The Grass Roots. It was all uphill from there.
I remember the night that I was lying in my bed fiddling with a radio on my way to the land of nod
and accidently discovered F.M.
They were palying strange sounds that I had never heard before and my whole world changed musically. That station is still around only now they sound more like A.M. radio did back then. Sad, sad indeed.
