Yes, they are very intolerant of criticism towards what is perceived as holy items within the Party. 

One time I just ASKED if T. H. Kerry was a help or hurt to her husband's campaign (my thoughts were that with her shoot from the hip and harsh comments, that she actually hurt the campaign) and the response I got was if I had pulled out a bible and peed on it at a convention of Southern Baptists. 

So sad......
