Then move on to the conservative "moral values" push this past election. Let's be honest, it was just an anti-gay measure.
Let's be honest it was the fact that gay's wanted to re-define what marriage was. In 11 states and most if not all of America said "Not going to happen".
Pat,
I do not think gay groups got ballot measures for gay marriage in these states - it was conservatives who pushed these ballot measures. And let's be honest - we know why they did it - pure homophobia. And I have not heard many gays wanting more than what heterosexuals already get.
Now, guess who will be running the RNC? Ken Mehlman, who is rumored to be gay. (Normally, I am not a believer of outing people, but in cases like this where a group of people are treated so terribly and people like the Cheney's and Mehlman's are part of the group doing the bashing it might be a different story).
Hmnnnnnn........Send me a link on that one.
Pat, here are two links.....but as I've said, they are rumors....

They hate the poor? They hate the poor?
Pat, come on...show me policies that have been created by Republicans that are kind to the poor - home heating assistance - cut; head start - cut; health assistance - getting ready to be cut (from Dailykos.com - The Bush administration is floating a a proposal reported on Washingtonpost.com to elimnate the credit businesses receive when they pay for their employees' health care). Education for the poor - cut or obstacles created to hamper financial aid, et cetera. Even the damn government cheese sucks and could kill a person if dropped on one's head.
With your comment about video captures and our media I take it you are talking about the recent video tape killing of the Iraqi insurgent. Is that correct? If so, and if you do not see anything wrong with that, then I don't know what to say. It might be different if more information does come out - such as he was reaching for a gun or making movements similar to just that - but if it is what has been reported, then that act is probably indefensible.
My definition of moral? To live like my Grandmother and Grandfather. Work hard, tell the truth, accept religion for others as long as they live like they preach and don't forcibly preach on others. Be kind to others, don't steal or wrongfully hurt others. Treat others like I want to be treated (unless they don't deserve it) and never ask someone to do something I would not be willing to do myself.
What about yourself?
