Screw the rest of the world if they don't have peace, love and harmony...how the hell am I supposed to enjoy the comforts I so richly deserve if I have to go at all out of my way to help them out?  There's always been fighting in that part of the world so there's no sense in trying.  Life was better for them with saddam in power so who are we to remove him...after all, I'm sure life was better for much of Germany for the while that hitler was in power. 

Yes, life would be grand if we could just develop that new alternative fuel source.  Then we could really turn our backs on them and truly enjoy ourselves to the hilt.  There will be no looking back then.
