just so y'know, Mexican Guitars and those made in california are made from the same parts that come from the same suppliers and are often made by technicians that go back and forth. The only difference is the location and the cost to have them made.

That's from a fender sales rep. I asked him if I should buy some american made single coils for my strat and he looked at it and said, "they are american made..." and went on to tell me the story about the Scottsdale plant and the Ensinidas(sp?) Plant making the exact same products. SO....I dunno, it might be bullshit.  But I like my mexican products just fine.  The upside of outsourcing....good guitars for cheap!
